An Open Letter to Greece Superintendent of Schools Regarding the Harassment of Bus Monitor, Karen Klein…
For those of you already aware of the incident on a Greece bus this past week, below is a letter I wrote and sent directly to the superintendent of Greece schools. I have made this letter public on all forums available to me. Please feel welcome to repost any or all of it as you see fit.

Dear Mr. Richardson,
I’m very concerned by the behavior of the specific students in your district who have appeared on television and the internet apparently harassing their poor bus monitor, Miss Karen Klein. Although I do not hold you or your staff responsible, I do believe decisive action is required to (1) curb any potential future behavior of these students and (2) to arrest the attention of parents and students. You are in a special place to resist evil or to condone it.
I’m certain that you have to do your own independent verification, but once you know who was guilty, I believe you must respond with only strong and decisive action. Considering the comments about cutting, invading her house, and the like, anything less than decisive action could only make you and the district culpable if harm ever did come to Miss Klein.
These are the names of some of the alleged wrongdoers as reported on the Internet:
Luis Recio
Wesley Helm
Brandon Teng
Joshua Slesak
Systemically, I believe we are confronting a moral breakdown of which this is just a small example. Families and schools must teach, exemplify, and support traditional values. The absence of Biblical morality as expressed in Scriptures like the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule leaves a vacuum that will NOT remain empty for long. Soon, as this incident indicates, evil conquers the space amorality leaves behind.
Thank you.

(Note: The language the children use is so vulgar I do not recommend watching the video as originally posted. I watched it not knowing what would be said, and to my own detriment, I watched it to the end. I feel dirty and very angry as a result.)

well said. in my opinion, this incident just exemplifies the current state of our nation, an unfortunately i think that how it is handled is going to follow suit. it makes me sad, but at the same time i am so grateful to know i have the ability to teach my daughter right from wrong and be given the opportunity to raise her in a way that she will be protected from things like this.
