Dear Parents, Our teachers have developed a plan for the next coming weeks going forward. Our goal is to give the students some work while not overloading them at this time. Some classes will be happening via video chat but that depends on the class and teacher. Please contact Bethany Cassata (585.645.2721) if you have questions about general information or Geography, other than that please contact your child’s teacher regarding their assignments for each subject. The school will be open for you to come and get your child’s books and belongings on Tuesday from 12-4 and on Friday from 10-3. Please contact Pastor Baker or Bethany Cassata if these times do not work for you. We will keep you updated if things change on a weekly basis. We hope each family stays safe. In Christ, Pastor Baker CAB/bac

Dear Parents, By Monday you should receive a call from your child's teacher(s) letting you know a plan going forward for how to do some work during this time period. We do not want our students to fall behind and each teacher has a different plan for their particular class. The amount of work that is given will be minimal. If your child has left anything at the school building that you would like to get for them, either school work or otherwise, then you may stop by the school today from 12-3 pm. Please contact Bethany 585.645.2721 if you will be stopping by. In Christ, Pastor Curtis Baker CAB/bac

March 2, 2020 SECA RUMMAGE SALE Dear Parent, The SECA Rummage Sale begins this Friday! The sale will be on Friday, March 6 from 10am-5pm, and on Saturday, March 7 from 9am-2pm. We are excited about the sale, as it is one of our biggest fundraisers for the school. Please invite your friends and family to the Rummage Sale, and be sure to stop by yourself! Students in grades 7-12 should dress down on Thursday, March 5 to help set up for the sale. On Friday, March 6 students in grades 7-12 should wear their gym uniforms all day to associate them with the school as they will be spending part of the day helping with the rummage sale. Also, students in grades 6 and below should wear normal school attire on Thursday and Friday. Due to the rummage sale, there will be no gym class or choir on Friday for any grade. Furthermore, students will be eating lunch in the classrooms on Thursday and Friday because the gym will be used for the sale. The school is still accepting donations for the rummage sale! Donations should be dropped off at the church by Thursday afternoon. Please call the church office if you have any questions (388-0850). Thank you for your support! February 10, 2020 LEGISLATIVE DAY IN ALBANY Dear Parents, On Tuesday March 17th the 7th -12th graders will be going to Legislative Day in Albany. The purpose of the trip is primarily to hear David Barton Founder of Wallbuilders speak. Because of the long drive we are planning to leave school on Monday March 16th at around 9:30am and we will make it back Tuesday March 17th at around 6:30pm to the school. We will be staying overnight at a local church who has generously offered to let us use their facilities, which includes separate rooms for boys and girls as well as showers for the overnight. Food will be provided for the students for dinner on Monday night and breakfast on Tuesday morning. Since this will be a special trip we will be going out to eat that Monday night. On Monday we will have a tour of the state house in the afternoon. Tuesday morning we have lined up free activities near the state house followed by lunch. Then at 1pm on Tuesday we will be hearing David Barton speak. Following his presentation we will head home and we expect to arrive back at SECA by 6:30pm on Tuesday. There is a cost to the trip, mostly because of admission into legislative day, but it also includes things like the special dinner on Monday. The cost for the trip will be $50. You should also send with the student enough money to pay for their lunch on Tuesday the 17th, since we will be eating at the convention center in a food court. Additional information is attached to this sheet and it should answer most of your questions. If you have any questions not answered please feel free to ask either Pastor Baker or Bethany Cassata for additional details you may need.
