Classes this week

Hello parents,

While a few of the teachers and staff are in Illinois for the next few days attending the music seminar at Providence Baptist College, please be advised that all classes will continue at SECA. As is our usual practice, whenever teachers will be absent, we have our classes covered by other teachers and capable substitutes. Students are expected to be in attendance as normal this week.

At SECA, our motto is "character matters," and we want to encourage our students to exhibit good, Godly character and to do right no matter what. This includes being faithful in attendance and to their scholastic duties! Furthermore, we want to adhere to the legal requirements put forth by the NYS Education Department that calls for children to attend a certain number of days at school, which will need to be made up in summer school in June if not met.

Please be in prayer for the music seminar and for the school this week.

Thank you for supporting the Christian school in this matter!

In Christ,

Pastor Rickner

Bills Victory Monday!

Hello Parents,

To celebrate the Bills victory today, we are going to allow the students to wear their favorite Bills shirt, hoodie, or jersey tomorrow! Note that these are not dress-down days, and normal school dress code rules will still apply, with the exception being that students may wear a Buffalo Bills themed shirt, jersey, hoodie, etc. on top.

In addition, in observance of the Bills making the playoffs this year, we will be celebrating each playoff win, or supporting our team in a playoff loss, by allowing students to wear their Bills gear after each playoff game, win or lose!

Please let me know if you have any questions, and GO BILLS!

In Christ,

Pastor Rickner

SECA Reward Activity

Hello Parents,

At SECA, we place high value on having good character. As such, we encourage good behavior with reward activities throughout the year for those who have fewer than 5 character essays for the current semester. This Thursday 12/11, we will be treating the students to Christmas cookies! They will be able to decorate - and eat - their own Christmas cookies, with loads of toppings to choose from! In addition, we will be showing a fun recap video of our first field trip to Stokoe Farms. This will be available for parents to view online afterwards, also.

The students are doing a great job so far this year, not only in their studies, but also in exhibiting Christ-like character. Keep up the good work!

In Christ,

Pastor Rickner
