Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce that on Thursday, April 3rd, the Ensemble and Kids Choir will be performing at the upcoming Missions Conference! Grades K-6th will meet in the Gymnasium at 6:30 P.M.  to rehearse. Ensemble members are expected to be there no later than 6:45 P.M.

Dress Code: Please have your child(ren) dressed in proper school attire. The Boys are to wear collared shirts and dress slacks. The girls are to wear nice dresses or skirts and blouses.

NO HOODIES, T-SHIRTS, OR SNEAKERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON STAGE.

We look forward to a wonderful performance by our talented kids!

 BOARD GAME CLUB

Dear Parents,

On Tuesday 3/25 we will be having our Board Game Club, available for students 6th grade and up. It will run after school from 3pm-5pm on Tuesday March 25th at the church. We encourage students to bring snacks if they like, but dinner will not be provided. Students will have to be picked up by their parents at 5pm. Please fill out the permission slip below and return it to Pastor Rickner by Monday 3/24 in order to participate.

IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION SIGN-UP

Dear Parent,

The district transportation sign up for busing next year is due on April 1st, 2025.  Forms must be obtained from each local bus garage.  We recommend parents to sign up with their transportation district as soon as they can so as to not miss this deadline.

Please keep in mind that some bus garages do have age restrictions for students and cannot transport them if they are under five years of age. Some bus garages also do not have a noon pickup available for Pre-K/Preschool students.

If the form requires any information or a signature from a principal or school official, you may email a copy of your completed form to Kevin Rickner at kr@myground.org or bring a physical form.

Dress Down Day Tomorrow

Dear Parents,

With the Rummage Sale upon us, tomorrow will be a dress down day for all students. Please remember that school modesty rules always apply on dress down days.

Also, there will be no gym class tomorrow.

No School Tomorrow 3/5

Dear Parents,

After checking up on everyone and taking careful consideration, I have decided that SECA is going to remain closed for another day tomorrow (Wednesday 3/5). We still have similar numbers of sick students to yesterday, with some new people contracting illness today. We are also down several teachers and staff. 

Please make it a point to contact your local bus garage as soon as possible to inform them that your children will not be needing transportation tomorrow.

The plan will be for school to reopen on Thursday 3/6, but please use your discretion in deciding whether or not to send your children. If they are showing signs of illness, it would be best to keep them home until they are well in order to help stop the spread. 

Please join me in praying to the Great Physician for everyone's health and for quick recoveries.

Dear Parents,

Due to a high number of student and staff illnesses, we have made the decision to close school tomorrow, 03/04. The health and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority, and we believe that this closure will help prevent further spread of illness, as well as give those who already have come down with such illnesses time to rest and recover.

Dear Parents,

Picture Day is just around the corner! This year's Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, February 27th. We're excited to capture memories of our entire school, including students, teachers, staff, and extension families.

Digital Copies:

Digital copies of your child's picture will be available for purchase at a cost of $5 per student. This is a great way to share your picture with family and friends.

Important:

Please make sure to arrive on time for Picture Day. We are happy to have Andrew Martineau taking pictures this year.  SECA is requiring all the students and staff, including extension students and parents, to have their pictures taken, so that the yearbook will be uniform.

The pictures will be taken from 8:45-2:45.  Please have your child present that day. If you miss Picture Day, a late fee will be applied to cover the additional costs of taking your picture at a later time.

We're looking forward to capturing smiles and memories on Picture Day! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to the school office.

Board Game Club clarification

Hello Parents,

Just a quick clarification on the dates for the Board Game Club event next week:

The permission slip in the previous memo had last month's dates on it, but the dates in the memo itself are correct for this month. Permission slips are due by Friday 2/7, and the event will be after school on Tuesday 2/11.
