Dear Parents, This reward activity pertains only to the 7th-12th graders who have under 5 character essays for the semester. The reward activity for the elementary students (Pre-K through 6th grade) will be scheduled for next week.
On Wednesday, May 13th, SECA is celebrating the students who showed exceptional character by receiving fewer than five character essays this last semester. As a reward, the school will be having an activity at Fellows Road Park from noon until the end of school. Students will be back in time for the afternoon busses, will be allowed to dress down the whole day, and should come prepared to play sports like volleyball, soccer, basketball, and pickle ball at the park. Have the students bring a bagged lunch. As always, students should follow the school’s modesty guidelines – skirts or culottes for the girls and jeans or wind pants for the boys.

Just a reminder that the 7th-12th graders are going on a field trip to the Club House in Henrietta tomorrow which is Tuesday, May 12th! Students should dress down, but remain within the school's modesty guidelines - culottes or skirts for girls and jeans or wind pants for boys (no sweatpants or tight fitting clothes). Students may bring money with them to buy lunch or they may pack their own lunch to bring with them.
Hello parents,
Mr. Stanfield shared with me that the Penfield Library is having a used book sale. I wanted to pass the info along to you so you can check it out if you are interested.

Hello Parents,
Tonight the SECA Kids Choir and high school Ensemble will be having their special presentation in the Missions Conference service. Kids Choir (K-6th grades) should meet in the gym at 6:30pm to prepare for the presentation. Ensemble (7th-12th grades) should meet in the gym at 6:45. Please have them dress in their Sunday best, including collared shirts for the boys (ties if they have them) and dresses or skirts and blouses for the girls. Please no t-shirts, hoodies, or sneakers on the stage. We are looking forward to hearing from them!

Good morning parents,
Tomorrow is Iowa testing for SECA students. Please keep the following in mind:
Students should be well rested and have a good breakfast so that they are able to focus and think clearly.
Iowa testing is an important benchmark for not only the students, but also the school. We use the data to measure how students are doing year over year on an individual basis, as well as for evaluating how the school is doing overall. It is important for all students to attend and do their best on test day!
Students will need to bring #2 pencils, lunch, and a good attitude!
Students who miss school tomorrow will not be able to make up the test, as the teachers have set aside their classwork to administer the test, and the test takes a full day or more to take. We appreciate your cooperation, and please pray for our school!
In Christ,
Pastor Rickner
Correction: Students will need to arrive by 6:30pm so that we have extra time to have them lined up in order, given their flags, and ready to do their parts for the presentation.

Dear Parents,
A wild idea shuffled into my head, and I decided to roll with it! Here’s the deal - SECA will be having a Board Game Club activity after school. This club will broaden the horizons of the students who make it a point to participate, encouraging them to experience new and diverse games that will challenge them intellectually while having fun! They certainly won’t be board. Pastor Krohn and I have a large library of games to draw from, so students are bound to check out a game (or two, or three) that suits them and will capture their hearts. We play some games that are real diamonds, and we have them in spades. Students should definitely come check it out. This could start a domino effect, and they might become gaming kings and queens!
The Board Game Club is available for students 6th grade and up. It will run after school from 3pm-5pm on Tuesday 4/28. We encourage students to bring snacks if they like, but dinner will not be provided. Students will have to be picked up by their parents at 5pm. Students will be sent home with a permission slip which will need to be filled out by Friday 4/24 in order for them to participate.
